I m wondering if any of you guys were a victim of peer's pressure and their laughs about you being a virgin? if you can tell us how old are you and how you replied to them?

i ll go first

Since i m stared this then i ll go first ^_^ Well i m a 22 years old virgin, i m a femal by the way, and the thing is that no body so far ever made fun of me because I am a virgin, I m guessing the reasons are that :

1.I am not shy about that fact and I am really pround of it .
2. I m a very good looking girl so people undrestands that it s by choice not because I didnt have a chance.
3. I dont look desperate to loose it so there is no reason to laught at me
and even if ever a person wallks to me and made fun of me, i wont take it really serious and I might even laugh about it, cause it is my choice and i am very proud of it
PS: my bf is also a virgin , he s 19 , and he s the same as me ^_^
so you can call us the virgin couple

nope...

no one has yet. Though not alot of people have asked about it...

I'm sure the time will come when someone acts like a jerk about it...and it'll make me feel like crap...but I just can't bring myself to losing my virginity to just anyone. I just can't do it.

I had many experiences

I'm 29 male whose still a virgin, I dont really tell it quite frequent, but If im asked I will of course, sometimes I try to hide it just for the sake of not having the time to discuss it, but most people always appreciate it, I had a comment by a guy who wished he can be like me, and he said that I'm a true lover who will live happily with what he described as "luckiest girl", he added that if I love then its gonna be for lifetime. he gave it a very philosophical approach. but I liked it.
another friend couldnt believe it and I still cant convince him about it :), he says that its impossible.
the people who make fun about it would be the one with no respect, I try to explain it in a very calm and clear way, and luckily most of them would appreciate it.

No not really

People don't or haven't made fun of me they just can't beleve it.Because I was the girl in high school that every boy wanted.Captin of the cheerleading team,Captin of the volleyball team, voted most popular and best smile, and had very good grades. They say it is impossible because I have dated most of the popular boys in school. But my friends know and understand why I am still waiting. They don't make fun of me and thats all that count.

a little

I have had some experience of people mostly not understanding. I get more questions than comments. I'm a bit of an intellectual and speak of religion sometimes so most people think that I'm a virgin because I want to be a priest. Most people are just suprised though.

Never made fun of

I am a 28 y/o virgin and i've never been made fun of. Most people i talk to about it really admire that ive waited so long. I've never been i love and for me sex without luv is not someting that i want. No one should be afriad to wait no matter what others say including boyfriends and girlfriends. If the person your in a relationship with isnt willing to wait then i would say that they are not the person for you.

Yes they have..

I've had people make fun of me for being a virgin, but I figure it is one of a few things.

They themselves are virgin and just want to fit in, but in order for them to fit in they have to make fun of someone else and sometimes that someone is you.

They may not be virgin and may regret giving it away. They haven't been able to emotionally deal with it so they vent out at others by putting them down. Trying to make you make the same mistake as them. They put the pressure on you so the pressure is off of them.

People who make fun of other people do so most likely because of a emotional problem in their life. Some people are raised that away and others just have bad mental dissorders that make them like that.

They want to make fun of virgins huh? What about the Virgin Mary? Who dare make fun of the mother of our Lord God?

See they judge you, but in the end it is them, they, the people who make fun who will be judged.

If anyone makes fun of you for being a virgin just smile and say "I'm scared too." Turn the tables on them and make it as if they are cunsulting you for help. You could also ignore it and just leave it at that, but it probably wouldn't help the matter. If anything this site should show you how many people are virgin and how many people are scared when it comes to sex. Sometimes people feel that they have to impose fear on others to get rid of their own fears.

Most likely.. 90% of the population is scared and really all they want is the acceptance of their peers and to be loved to find someone for them. One thing I have learned from the internet is that everyone has a common goal. Everyone seeks love and acceptance, but not everyone is on the same page when it comes to this. It is just a part of life, because everyone can't be on the same page at once. That would throw the chemistry of this world off balance. There will always be a negative and possitive, north and south, east and west, good and evil, man and woman. With out one or the other the chemistry of the world would be extreamly imbalanced.

Thats just some of my thoughts.

be honest

i think it has already been summed up here

im 17, male, waiting. people tend to make fun when they find out, and try to be a slick ass, but knowing what we all know, we can see right through it. they're all ignorant, im sure they know it to a certain degree too.

its soo easy to fall into a bad way of life, thats why theres so few people left that have strong morals. I have great role models that help me through as well.

When it comes to people making fun, all you need to really say is "you really haven't thought about it enough to truly understand, until you spend some time thinking about it deeply, you will never understand"

that usually gets them to shut up and be more understanding

kinda

I dont really tell many people I'm still a virgin as where I live its more people you've slept with the better, so if people ask i just say I've slept with 1 person. At my old college there was this little horror who'd laugh at me even though she thought I'd slept with one person as it was only one person and not loads like most other girls by mine. I'd rather be a virgin than be like her anyway, as even though she wasn't at all pretty or had a nice personality she'd have a new lad every week (aswell as her long term boyfriend) but they'd ALWAYS dump her the next day. I heard somewere she'd gotten pregnat and didn't know who the dad was. She's also put pictures of herself in her underwear on the net which I think is just plain desparation.

absolutely

IM 16( 17 IN AUG) AND HIGH SCHOOL IS NOT EXACTLY POPULATED WITH VIRGINS. I WOULD NOT SAY I GET TEASED OR MADE FUN OF FOR BEING A VIRGIN BUT SOME PEOPLE (ESP. GRLS) TEND TO THINK OF IT AS UNBELIEVABLE. I ONCE TOLD A GUY I WAS A VIRGIN ( BC HE WAS TALKING ABOUT HAVING SEX WITH ME) AND HE DID NOT BELIEVE ME JUST BECAUSE IT IS RARE TO FIND VIRGINS AROUND. I MEAN I HAVE NEVER HAD TO LIE ABOUT BEING A VIRGIN, I AM ACTUALLY REALLY OPEN TO IT. MOST THINK THAT VIRGINS ARE TEASED FOR NOT HAVING SEX BUT WITH ME IT IS THE OTHER WAY AROUND, I TEASE NON-VIRGINS ALL THE TIME ( MOSTLY MY FRIENDS IN A JOKINGLY MANNER THOUGH).

another suggestion

I think its made fun of because some regret there first times knowing that they should have waited. virginity is probably the only thing a person can control through self-control and will-power... Once its gone you cant get it back...perhaps, the ones that make fun/envy of it are the ones who regretted.

Another suggestion... Us virgins can easily get to where "they" are but "they" can never get back to where we are...its pure.

never

i have never been made fun of for being a virgin. most people didnt believe me just like big world big choices but i find that most people really respect me for it. pluse, i dont let people really bother me about it. i am a virgin out of choice, not because i have not had the chance to have sex. i have just made deliberate choices not to. i have found that it makes me feel good about myself to say that i am a virgin, so it doesnt really affect me about what others say. so i just let those comments roll off my back.

i am proud of myself and my choices so i think that shows when i am talking about sex and what i have done as well as what i havent. so i find more support from my decisions than i do negetive attention.

Well...it's the opposite for me...

At my old high school, tons of sexual rumors was going around about me. From give blow jobs at a school trip to six flags to having sex in the bathroom. But little do they know, I'm still a virgin. People have even put condoms in my backpack and called the house around 1:00 in the morning to do prank calls. It's terrible for me, I don't even have any friends that are girls because they are afraid that I'll "steal" their boyfriend. But, I just say what I want to say and keep on rolling.

reply to virgin nurse

I've been in a similar situation to you in the past. A group of girls from my old college whod actually make fun of me for not sleeping around like they do got sum1 to put my house phone number on the wall of the gents in a dodgy local night club (which i dont even go to). One day a lad kept ringing up cause he got the number. I felt so cheap even though I've never had sex and I've only done stuff with 1 lad (who was my proper boyfriend)

Me

I am a 21 year old black woman and I am a virgin.I have never ever been on a date, kissed a guy,or had a guy say he liked me ever in life.I am waiting for marriage cause that is how I was raised and I feel like I will dump any man that can not respect that.I am not ashamed of being a virgin at my age cause I feel like waiting will make my husband respect me and see that I am not a whore or a slut.I do not have friends but people tease and harass me cause I am still a virgin and do not do sexual stuff. If a man can not wait,he is not worth it and is a dog to me.

did anybody made fun of because you are a viring?

An old woman fell on the bus, when i touched her hand i poped a boner.
Its the closest i have ever been with a woman after all

When i helped her up, her face rubbed off it

My friend still ribs me about that today.

somewhat

'I m wondering if any of you guys were a victim of peer's pressure and their laughs about you being a virgin? if you can tell us how old are you and how you replied to them?'

Well, I'm 20 and a virgin and proud of it. I've never dated nor kissed a guy. My friends will tease me about it, and I'll admit it has bothered me sometimes. I just tell them that I'm waiting for the right guy that's all and I don't want to be the 22nd girl that a non-virgin had slept with. I have respect for my self and that what counts.

As far for other people making fun of me because of my virginity, it has never happened.

nobody should

In my opinion nobody should make fun of us. It's our choice and like people are saying we should be proud of it. The only person I've openly told was my good friend. Once I did that I think her and I have gone closer in our relationship.

I have.

I used to be made fun of when I was in high school, nd when I was in technical college. But, nothing recent. Most people I've told, recently, said it's best to wait.

More with respect

Guys who know that I'm still a virgin at age 24 show respect to me and I just tell them my only rule for sex-marriage.

Anyway some guys wanted to seduced me and I kept declining ...that's really a problem of being a virgin .And I'm really worried that some guys may take away my virginity b4 marriage ....

I'm a 21 year old virgin. I haven't really been "made fun of", but I have been told that my "views aren't very realistic" and that "I need to lower my standards". I find it funny that somebody can list standards like: "Must be muscular, be rich, have a really nice car, play a guitar, have black hair, and green eyes," and that's perfectly realistic, but if I say one word, "virgin", I am asking for WAY too much. I hate the time period I live in :/.

I know, right? I think it's a sorry state of affairs we're in today that looking for someone who has waited to engage in sexual activity is seen as absurd and unrealistic. I really don't think it's too much to ask. I've gone 20 years and it's not like it's driven me mad here. I just don't see why so many other people either 1.) don't care about waiting to be with someone you love, or 2.) assume they're in love with some random guy they've been dating for a couple of months. Just seems stupid.

However, unlike you, I don't wish I were born in another time period. Sure, chastity was more valued back then, but then again people have always been finding ways to do naughty things before marriage. And besides, nowadays we have the internet, cars, indoor plumbing, heating, school instead of working in the fields. It's mighty nice if you ask me.

I go through "phases". It's a cycle. I lay it out like this. There's no real, "starting point", it just kind of loops:

1) Apathetic stage - I'm not in a relationship, and I don't care. Usually lasts about two years.
2) Relationship - While in the apathetic stage, I tend to find somebody. They're with me for about two to nine months, then leave me because "I'm too nice and proper."
3) Desperate Search - A few days after the relationship ends I go into a frantic search trying to see if there's any hope of finding somebody else. I try dating sites and anything else that comes to mind. It never works. This phase lasts about two months.
4) Depression stage - This stage begins some time in the middle of the desperate search and extends out to a month or two after the desperate search ends. This is when I've given up all hope that I'll find somebody.
5) Repeat!

While the apathetic stage may sound like a bad thing, it's not. I LOVE the apathetic stage. I don't worry about a thing, although I admit it can get a little bit boring. I just have to find some video games to keep me occupied or something, lol.

Also, saying I'd rather live in another time period is sort of a "half-joke". When I cannot find any good virgin girls I sometimes wish that, but I'm a HUGE technology geek, so I do love my technology.

Innocent for the most part..

What can I say other than nobody has really laughed at me about being a virgin. They've always been really taken aback by it though. Apparently because of my handsome face and what have you, I should be 'pimpin' hoes left, right and centre.

When I tell people that's just not my style, they look at me weirdly.
Plus, waiting for the right person is apparently the wrong thing to do.
You can't lose your virginity with another virgin, it just doesn't happen..
