As silly as it sounds, the idea, the concept, of "being out there" is something I am trying to embrace more. I don't live out in the middle of nowhere, but it takes some gas to travel to the places I like to go to. I'd like to think that these places--book stores and coffee shops--might be good places that I could find a love interest.

I'm not saying that virgins, males or females, keep themselves locked up in their bedrooms/houses and don't have lives. That's utter nonsense. One thing that has kept me from being out in the world more is depression; I wonder if this is a factor for many others here (and it has nothing to do with my virginity).

So, maybe I'd like to advise others to be more open to finding someone at the events/places you like going to. Or, perhaps someone can share a story about how well this has/hasn't worked. And how effective is positive thinking in the grand scheme of things?
